The Stockton Police Department has specific policies and
procedures regarding the release of reports. Some reports are releasable, for example, accident
reports, but others, such as ongoing criminal investigations,
information concerning juveniles, need to be reviewed by supervisory staff for consideration.
If you are the victim of a crime or involved in
an accident, you may obtain a report in person at the Police Department's
Records Section, 22 East Market Street, Stockton, CA 95202 (hours: 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.). The
cost is 10 cents per page; the fee for certified reports is $5.00. When requesting a report, you will need the following information:
- Your Name
- Date of Birth
- Identification (Driver's License or Passport)
- Crime Report Number or Location and Date of Incident
- Address and Telephone Number
- Indicate the Type of Incident (Accident, Arrest, etc.)
NEW! - Collision Reports Online
Citizens may now access and purchase copies of most Stockton Police Department collision reports online. Purchasing a collision report online is extremely easy and convenient. Citizens need to enter the date of the collision and two other fields, such as an involved party's name or location of collision; these are required to ensure the citizen purchasing the report has a legal right to the document. A fee of $15 is required, payment by credit card. If you are interested in purchasing your collision report using this service, go to www.MyCollisionReport.com and follow the step-by-step instructions.
