Activities

During Family Camp your family and friends can enjoy a variety of recreational and social activities. Take part in our weekly Variety Show, presented by and for the Campers. Enjoy a sing-a-long or skits around the campfire. There will also be hikes and activities for kids and adults during the day. We are planning a new and exciting program for Family Camp, including events such as Little Bit Olympics, Camp Fire Tales, Races, Volleyball, Variety Shows, Bingo, Karaoke, etc. Adult Crafts will also be available behind the Lodge.

If you prefer, you can plan your own adventures. There are many hiking trails within a short distance of camp, swimming or fishing at the lake, or simply relaxing under the trees or enjoying a walk through one of the wildflower-filled meadows near the camp.

Silver Lake Campers' Association

The Silver Lake Campers Association is a non-profit group that has worked to support the City of Stockton’s operation of Silver Lake Family Camp for more than 50 years.

In the past, the Association has provided “those little extras” that enhance the Family Camp experience. This year the Association has stepped in to fill the void that would be left if the camp is closed by the City for any length of time, by operating Silver Lake Family Camp for the benefit of all those who want to make Silver Lake Camp a part of their vacation plans.

Anyone interested in joining the Association should call
Sharon Waugh at (209) 478-8968.

Camp is operated under a special use permit issued by the
El Dorado National Forest Service, Permit No. 9-10-21.
