Dedication Ceremony for California Street Improvement Project
(Stockton, CA) - The City of Stockton will hold a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for pedestrian safety and accessibility improvements completed at California Street and Arcade Street, Thursday, November 5, 2009, 2:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the site of the improvements.
“Thanks to funding provided through the Strong Neighborhoods Initiative (SNI) we were able to add a lighted crosswalk, median, wheelchair ramps, curb, gutter and sidewalk, to improve safety and access to shopping and medical facilities,” said Bob Murdoch, Interim Director of the City’s Public Works Department. “This is exactly how SNI was designed to work, by making improvements that are important and necessary for the neighborhood.”
