Accepting Nominations: Capt. Charles Weber, Glenn Allen Awards Department: Community Development

The City of Stockton's Cultural Heritage Board is soliciting public nominations for the 2014 Captain Weber and Glenn Allen Awards.

Deadline for nominations is 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.

The Captain Charles M. Weber Award is given in the name of Stockton’s founder. The Award recognizes those who have authored or edited work on the subject of Charles M. Weber or those individuals, organizations or businesses who have done extraordinary volunteer work in celebrating the community’s past or furthered the understanding of Stockton’s collective cultural heritage.

The Glenn Allen Award is named in honor of the architect who practiced in Stockton from around 1913 until 1938. The Award recognizes individuals, organizations or businesses who have done extraordinary work in the field of historic preservation by the design, construction, rehabilitation or renovation of a structure, district, site or streetscape in an effort to enhance the historic character of Stockton.
