Housing Element Community Workshop

(Stockton, CA)  - On Tuesday, June 30, 2009, the City of Stockton will hold a community workshop to obtain stakeholder input for the Housing Element Update. The workshop will be held at the Cesar Chavez Central Library, Stewart Hazelton Room, 605 N. El Dorado Street, from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide members of the community and stakeholders a second and final opportunity to review the Draft Housing Element Policy Document and Background Report, which in its final form will guide the development of housing in Stockton. The City’s Housing Element consultant, Mintier Harnish, will make a presentation summarizing proposed policies and programs. City representatives will be available to answer questions and encourage public comment.

Members of the community, non-profit housing organizations, shelter providers, developers and others with an interest in how housing in Stockton is and will be provided in the future are encouraged to attend. For additional information or to review the Draft Housing Element, please visit www.stocktonhe.com, or, call Janice Miller at (209) 937-8862.
