Water Conservation Program
| City Now Offering Water Use Surveys! |
As part of our conservation services, residential customers can now take advantage of free water use surveys designed to help save water and money.
Water surveys, conducted by City staff, can help identify leaks that may cause higher water bills and provide you with information about our conservation programs and rebate offers.
What to expect during the survey:
After obtaining written permission, City staff will visit your home for about one hour to:
- Check for leaks and needed adjustments on all water using
devices such as faucets, toilets and sprinklers.
- See if your irrigation controller and valves are working properly.
- Check sprinklers and drip stations for leaks, breakage, coverage and runoff.
Once finished, City staff will provide you with a report of the
survey findings with water saving recommendations. You will
also receive a complimentary water saving kit with a low-flow
showerhead and faucet aerators - water saving devices that
are easy to install.
Who conducts the surveys:
City staff certified as Water Conservation Practitioners through
the American Water Works Association will conduct the surveys.
Reminder to all customers:
Always check photo ID before allowing utility workers access to
your residence. Your safety is important to us.
