Deputy Chief Rick Salsedo

Deputy Chief Rick Salsedo has been with the Stockton Police Department since June 1991.  As an Officer, he served in Patrol and as a Robbery/Homicide investigator.  Deputy Chief Salsedo promoted to Sergeant in 2000 and worked as a Patrol supervisor, School Resource Officer supervisor and an Internal Affairs investigator.  He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2004.  As a Lieutenant, Deputy Chief Salsedo was assigned as a Watch Commander, Internal Affairs Section Commander and the Park District Commander.  In 2008, he promoted to Captain and served as the North Field Services Division Commander, the South Field Services Division Commander and the Investigations Division Commander.  He promoted to Deputy Chief in 2011 and was assigned as the Support Bureau Commander.  Currently, he is the Operations Bureau Commander.

 

Deputy Chief Salsedo received his Bachelors degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) Regents College and his Master of Criminal Justice degree from Boston University.

 

Operations Bureau consists of the Field Operations Division, Investigations Division and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT).

 

Support Bureau
Deputy Chief Trevor Womack

Deputy Chief Trevor Womack

The Support Bureau is headed by Deputy Chief Trevor Womack.  Deputy Chief Womack joined the Stockton Police Department in 1992.  He served as a Patrol Officer, Community Police Officer and Field Training Officer before promoting to the rank of Sergeant in 1998.  As a Sergeant, he worked in Patrol and Traffic.  After promoting to Lieutenant in 2003, he took strategic command over one of the Department's six policing districts as the Park District Commander.  He then spent some time leading the Personnel and Training Section before promoting to the rank of Captain in 2006.  As a Captain, he commanded the Support Services, Investigations and Field Operations Divisions.  He was appointed to the rank of Deputy Chief of Police in 2012.

 

Deputy Chief Womack earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from CSU Stanislaus and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 219.  He is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree Program through the Naval Postgraduate School - Center for Homeland Defense and Security.
