Economic Development Department

The Economic Development Department strives to:

  • develop jobs by attracting new businesses to Stockton, 
  • maintain a healthy business environment for existing businesses, 
  • assist small business start-ups, and 
  • provide housing for low-income residents.  

The Economic Development Department is comprised of four divisions:

 

Advantage Stockton

Built using state-of-the-art Geographic Information System (GIS) software, Advantage Stockton offers free access to in-depth information that previously required costly, time-consuming research.  

Advantage Stockton instantly provides valuable information for site selectors, real estate developers, and businesses pursuing new opportunities in Stockton.

Advantage Stockton provides information about specific properties such as:

  • location (street map and aerial views),
  • size,
  • zoning,
  • cost, and more.

Stockton Neighborly Portal

Individuals and organizations can apply for various business assistance programs, grant opportunities, and housing programs using the Stockton Neighborly Portal. Contractors can also use the Stockton Neighborly Portal to register to be a preferred vendor for housing and commercial facade programs.
