FREE Flu Shot Clinic (ages 9 and up)

San Joaquin County Public Health Services PHS will provide seasonal flu vaccinations free of charge on October 28 from 10:00 am – 2:00 p.m. (or until supply runs out) at Delta College, Upper Danner Hall.

This special clinic is intended to provide Seasonal Influenza vaccine to persons 9 years of age and older who do not have health insurance, and those at highest risk of complications from the Flu including: persons aged 50 years or older and persons with long term medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, or other chronic illness. It is recommended that pregnant women get their flu vaccine from their healthcare provider.

RTD Fall Festival

San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) will host our third Annual Fall Festival community event on Friday, October 31, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at RTD’s Downtown Transit Center (421 E. Weber Ave.)

This community event features safe and family-friendly activities, including a haunted bus, a bounce slide, carnival games, face painting, a balloon twister, a scarecrow corner, and a photo booth.

Stop by to enjoy unique animals from the Micke Grove Zoo, stories from the Stockton-San Joaquin County Public Library, and vehicles from the Stockton Police and Fire Department. Plus, a live bluegrass band will provide music and entertainment. Food trucks will offer treats and snacks at discounted prices.

Admission is free for children 12 and under, with a $2 admission per teen or adult. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the United Way of San Joaquin County. For a small fee, guests may use the photo booth to celebrate their fun festival experience.
