Learning Game Tutors

Help your school-age child (ages 6-18) get better grades with help from The Learning Game Tutors. Every student enrolling in this program is evaluated, then special lesson plans are created to meet individual needs.Subjects include math, reading, and writing.

Course includes 6 classes per session for a fee of $93. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4, 5, or 6 p.m.

Upcoming Class Schedule: January 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29. Instruction provided by Erin Chester-Bradt.

California Woman Suffrage Exhibition

Stop by the California Woman Suffrage feature exhibition at the San Joaquin County Historical Museum in Micke Grove Regional Park. The special exhibition is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., from January 18, 2015, through March 15, 2015.

The exhibition chronicles the struggle of California women to gain the right to vote.

Are you the 1 in 3 at risk for kidney disease?

Risk Factors Include: Diabetes and high blood pressure

What to expect at the event:

Risk survey, blood pressure check, body mass index BMI measurement, opportunity to speak with a healthcare professional, free educational material. Plus, for at-risk individuals at, an ACR urine test for albumin (a type of protein used to diagnose kidney health.)

Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
