Council Meeting Swearing-In Ceremony

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. the City of Stockton will hold a City Council Meeting that will begin with a formal swearing-in ceremony of Councilmember Sol Jobrack (District 1), Councilmember Paul Canepa (District 3), and Councilmember Christina Fugazi (District 5).This meeting is being held at the Stockton Memorial Civic Auditorium, 525 N. Center Street, to accommodate all members of the community who would like to attend. All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend. Doors will open at 4:45 p.m. Parking is available on-street, at City Hall, and in the surface lot at the corner of Oak and Center Streets.Following the swearing-in, the Council will continue with its regularly scheduled meeting. There will be a reception, including an opportunity for photos, immediately following the Council Meeting.Due to the change in venue, this meeting will not be streamed on the City’s website while in-progress or broadcast live on the City’s Government Access Channel. Urban Agriculture Community Meeting

The City of Stockton’s Community Development Department, Economic Development Department, and Valley Vision will host two Urban Agriculture Community Meetings in January.

The second meeting is:

• Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, from 6-7 p.m., at Cesar Chavez High School Career Center, 2929 Windflower Lane

City of Stockton and Valley Vision representatives will share information and participate in an interactive discussion about the upcoming Urban Agriculture Ordinance, what it means for members of our community, and how it can have a positive impact.

Members of the community are encouraged to participate in one or both meetings. The same information will be shared at both meetings.
