City Wide Egg Hunts and Eggstravaganza

Join us for the first City Wide Egg Hunt hosted by the City of Stockton Community Services Department.

Free community egg hunts begin Monday, March 30, through Saturday, April 4, with special Eggstravaganza events on Saturday, April 4, at three local community centers.

From March 30 to April 4, check the City of Stockton Recreation Facebook page at facebook.com/cosrecreation to discover clues for a giant egg hidden in a different area of the city each day. Each giant egg will include instructions leading to baskets filled with special giveaways.

On Saturday, April 4, the fun continues with three of Stockton’s community centers hosting free, family-friendly Eggstravaganza events. Eggstravaganzas offer fun activities, including bounce houses and arts and crafts stations, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., with egg hunts beginning at “eggsactly” 11:00 a.m.

This years’ theme is “The 60s – BEE There Or BEE Square”. A cherished Stockton tradition, the Trivia Bee is a fun and eventful evening filled with active participation from both teams and audience members.

Friends of the Fox Present: The Great Escape

“The Great Escape” to be shown at Bob Hope (Fox) Theatre on Friday, May 15.

Doors open 6pm.

Movie at 7pm.

Enjoy the classic World War II film “The Great Escape” with Steve McQueen and James Garner, shown in widescreen on the BIG screen in the beautifully restored Bob Hope Theatre.

This film tells the true story of the mass escape from Stalag Luft III in Zagen, Poland, a new maximum security prison for those who tried to previously escape. See this film for the memorable scene with Steve McQueen on his stolen motorcycle doing his best to escape from his Nazi pursuers. The film was an enormous hit in 1963 and nominated for an Academy Award as well as the Golden Globe for “Best Picture”.
