American Graffiti - classic movie presented by Friends of the Fox Theatre

“Where were you in ’62”?

The film classic “American Graffiti” showing at Fox Bob Hope Theatre on Friday, July 17. Doors open 5:30pm, movie 7pm.

Grab your friends and family and ‘Rock Around the Clock” to this '60s tribute film “American Graffiti” starring Ron Howard and Cindy Williams and directed by George Lucas..

This film will be shown in widescreen in the beautifully restored Fox Theatre. It tells the tale of one wild summer night in Modesto in 1962 as college beckons. The film was a big hit in 1973. It was one of the first films to have a soundtrack of pop hits of the era and was responsible for the future TV series “Happy Days” with Ron Howard and “Laverne and Shirley” with Cindy Williams. It was nominated for 5 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director. It has a “95%” positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Superman Film - Presented by Friends of the Fox Theatre StocktonCon

“Superman” to be shown at Fox Bob Hope Theatre on Friday, August 7. Doors open at 6pm, movie at 7pm.

In conjunction with StocktonCon, $2 discount with your StocktonCon ticket in hand!, the FoxBob Hope Theatre located at 242 East Main Street in Downtown Stockton is proud to present the most classic superhero film “Superman” starring Christopher Reeve, Gene Hackman, and Marlon Brando. The film will be show as pre-opening to StocktonCon event on Friday evening August 7.

StocktonCon follow ons Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9. Arrive in Costume!

This film will be shown on the BIG Fox screen in widescreen splendor in the beautifully restored Fox Theatre.

The film tells the origin story of Superman and was a monster hit in 1978, spawning three sequels in the next few years.
