City Council Salary Setting Commission

Note: This Board is included in the City of Stockton's Conflict of Interest Code and members are required to disclose economic interests held within the jurisdiction of the Board/Commission, by completing a Statement of Economic Interests Form 700 when appointed, as required by the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) and the City of Stockton.

Function:

The Salary Setting Commission recommends to the City Council, the amount of monthly salary and the benefits, which it deems appropriate for members of the Council, including the Mayor, for two-year periods.

Commission established by Article XIX, Section 1912, City Charter, September 7, 2000.

Minimum Qualifications:

Members must be qualified electors of the City of Stockton and remain qualified electors at all times during the term of office.
