San Joaquin County Commission on Aging

Function:

Serves as an advisory body on aging matters to both the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and to the Department of Aging.
Acts as San Joaquin County Long-Term Care Coordinating Council/Audit Day Health Care Planning Council.
Advises San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors on long-term care.

Legal Authority:

Established by the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, Board Order No. B-77-980 dated June 17, 1977

Meeting Date/Location:

First Monday of each month except for August, at 1:30 p.m. If the meeting date falls on a holiday, the meeting shall be held on the following day, Tuesday.

Residency Requirements:

Must live within the limits of appointing authority. Stockton City Council appointees must be residents of the City of Stockton.

Remuneration:

None. Commissioner's cost of parking in City lots during regular meeting is borne by the SJC Department of Aging and Community Services.

Resident of San Joaquin County interested in aging issues and concerns.
