49-99 Cooperative Library System Advisory Board
Function:
Legal Authority:Board established by California Education Code Sections 18747-187-50 (California Library Services Act); and, amended by Resolution 07-0414 dated October 2, 2007.
Appointing Authority:Mayor with City Council Concurrence; one member appointed by the governing body of each member jurisdiction
Term of Office:Two (2) years; each member shall serve no more than two (2) consecutive terms.
Membership:Seven (7; one (1) each from City of Stockton, City of Lodi, Amador County, Calaveras County, Stanislaus County, Tuolumne County. (Merced County is no longer a member.)
Meeting Date/Location:To be determined by the Advisory Board Residency Requirements:Must reside within the Library service area of the appointing jurisdiction. Stockton City Council appointees must be San Joaquin County residents. Not applicable to the City of Lodi.
Remuneration:None
Minimum Qualifications:Public Library employees and members of the System Administrative Council are not eligible
