Adult and Teen Dance Classes

Adult Tap: Beginner

(Ages 16 and up). Always wanted to learn the soft shoe? Beginning Adult Tap is a perfect class for people who cannot devote years to dance. Intermediate Adult Tap is ongoing for continuing dancers in both traditional and Rad tap techniques. This class performs at community events (performance is always optional). Beginner classes: 6:45-7:45. Intermediate & Advanced: 5:45-6:45. Both classes are instructed by Susan Sixkiller For information, call (209) 937-8361.

Ballet Folklorico De Frank Zapata

(Ages 10 - 21)  Come learn the beautiful dances of various regions of Mexico such as : Michoacan, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, Yucatan, Chiapas, Nuevo Leon and Jalisco.  Class meets Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Visit www.balletflkdezapata.com for more information.

Celebrity Ballroom Dance Instruction

(Ages 7 - adults)  Beginning levels with introduction to intermediate levels.  Cass covers all the essentials of ballroom dance such as, footwork, timing, style, technique, appearance, and good dance etiquette.  Dances taught may include the Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, Eastern Swing, West Coast Swing, Tango, Salsa and more.  Classes take place at Arnold Rue Community Center on Tuesday nights. Bring leather sole shoes.

Middle Eastern Belly Dancing

Learn the basics of this fun and interesting form of dance. Bring towel or mat. Instructor, Mozelle.

Round Dance

Round Dance is couple dancing to choreographed routines, similar in rhythm and dance figures to ballroom dance, but led by verbal prompts from instructor.  Students learn figures and terminology in this basic class. Each series will focus on rhythm development and proficiency in one dance, such as Waltz, Salsa, Cha Cha, Swing and others.
